WHAT IT IS
In the fall of 1986, writer, editor and aesthetic theorist Wilfried Dickhoff curated a remarkable exhibition at Tony Shafrazi Gallery. Featuring works by artists including George Condo, Albert Oehlen, Ed Ruscha, Keith Haring, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Kenny Scharf, Imi Knoebel, Rosemarie Trockel and many more, the show was a clever and prescient survey of what art was in the mid-1980’s.
Published in an edition of 1,000, this catalogue is uncommon to find in good condition.
