printed art history
Combining research, expertise and the joy of collecting, Printed Art History began 20 years ago with the acquisition of an exhibition catalogue dedicated to Jean-Michel Basquiat.
Realizing the printed materials around each artist and exhibition were invaluable sources of historical context and could be as collectible and difficult to find as the Art objects themselves, a seed was planted for the present site.
As more and more museums, institutions and collectors realize the importance of ephemera to the Art Historical record, appreciation, scarcity and values have grown. Dedicated displays of ephemera within major museum exhibitions, libraries and private collections is now commonplace. As such, it has become increasingly critical to rely on trusted sources of information and authentic material.
Printed Art History has become such a partner to many institutions, collectors and fellow enthusiasts worldwide.
